Public tour planned at KU medicinal garden May 24

The public is invited to the annual summer tour of the University of Kansas Native Medicinal Plant Research Garden at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 24. The Research Garden is part of the KU Field Station of the Kansas Biological Survey.

Public Tour of KU Medicinal Garden October 5

Join faculty, staff and students of the Native Medicinal Plant Research Program for an informal fall garden tour on October 5 from 10 a.m - noon. The tour will include all areas of the garden, including research plantings, demonstration/show garden, natural dye garden, and the KU Student Farm. The event is free and open to the public.

KU Field Station hosts 2 special events over the weekend

On Saturday, June 16, the KU Field Station hosted two special events at two locations in eastern Kansas, The Anderson County Prairie Preserve and the KU Native Medicinal Plant Research Garden. In total, these events attracted more than 100 participants eager to learn about Kansas' native tallgrass prairie ecosystem.
